We have free dining in December and my DD15 is a recent vegetarian and she doesn't like seafood so it really limits her options. I see a lot of Mac and cheese and cheese pizza options for kids which will be right up her alley. Can I use her adult cs credit for a kids meal?
Also, I see a lot of the salads have chicken or seafood on them any chance of getting it without or are they pre-made ? Thanks

I believe you may be able to do this. But at most table service restaurants they have vegetarian options. Look at the menus and you will see all kinds of goodies. Everything from veggie lasagna to veggie stir fry.

Probably since adult and child credits are pooled. I know they don't want people to use child credits for adult meals since they're more expensive but they probably wouldn't mind the other way. Although the child portions may fit her taste buds, the sizes may be too small. I'd suggest looking through the menus and finding places that offer vegetarian options. I can't think of any that don't offer something vegetarian in adult sizes (ex. full personal cheese pizza + side salad vs. 1/2 cheese pizza in Toy Story Pizza Planet, lighthouse sandwich in Colombia Harbour House, falafel @ Tangeriene Cafe, veggie quiche @ BOG lunch, etc.). As for the salads, in most places you should be able to customize and ask to leave the chicken/tuna off. I can't think of many pre-packaged only places off the top of my head - just Boardwalk Bakery and Starring Roles but there probably are a few more.

If the restaurant will accept the TS credit, yes. You might have issues at restaurants that are not operated by Disney.

If you're paying for the plan it's a massive waste to use an adult TS credit for a child's meal. If she will be getting children's meals at multiple a la carte restaurants, pay OOP for the child's meal (you can also try this at non-Disney restaurants that won't accept an adult credit for a child meal because they have to follow the plan exactly) and save the adult credit.

Thanks for the great suggestions, you mentioned places I never thought of. We will have free dining so if we do get to use a adult cs credit for child meal it wont feel like a waste of money. I think we will go thru the different options together and really plan our meals according to her preferences. It will be fun to try something new, as it seems like we always eat at the same spots! :goodvibes

Like mentioned, there are some great vegetarian options or you can atleast let them know that she is an adult on DDP and see if she can get an adult sized say mac and cheese. Ive been a vegetarian since I was 12, Ive always had plenty to eat and have never gotten a kids meal at WDW. I know its free dining, but it would be a waste, much smaller drink, not many dessert options, etc. And, if you dont see anything on the menu, just ask them if they have vegetarian options. Also, there is a vegetarian link on here with lots of info and you can find pictures too.
