Can I use a GC at still get my Kohls VIP discount

If I have a gift card, and also a mailer that offers X% off can they be combined? Or, do I have to charge on my Kohls charge card in order to quality for the discount?

They'll take the giftcard balance off 1st and then the % off of whatever is left and put that on your Kohls card.

It might vary by store because I've been told I have to charge it to my Kohl's but then I can use the GC to pay towards the balance of my Kohl's card. I'd find out from the store you plan on using it at what their policy is.

You can use the discount as long as the amount of purchase is greater than the value of the gift card. That way you can put at least some of the purchase on your Kohl's credit card. One trip I had a $50 giftcard and my purchase after the discount came to $50.34. I put just $0.34 on my Kohl's card, but it was enough to be able to use the discount.

I tried to apply a giftcard to my Kohl's card balance and was told I couldn't do it. I tried at two different stores and was given the same answer.

My daughter works at Kohls. I just asked her and this is what she said.

If you have a $ off coupon & a % off coupon you can use both. They will take the $ off first then apply the %.

You do have to use your Kohl charge to get your VIP discount but you can use the giftcard to pay your bill. So you could buy whatever you wanted, use the charge card and then have them apply the gift card to your charge card.

I dont like Kohls way of handling the % off coupons and GC

you get the % off coupon for being a valued Kohls charge customer

so as long as you have the card and its current you should be able to

use it along with a GC

they penalize you for using a GC along with the % off coupon

you have to make a choice --either % off or GC

there is no problem if what your buying is over what the GC is for

but that doesnt always happen
