Can I upgrade an upgraded ticket?

I'm going on a quick weekend trip with my best friend, who moved to Arizona. We're meeting in the middle at Disneyland!

Now, I have my GAD/GADD voucher that I'd like to upgrade to a 2-day hopper when I get there. From what I understand I'd have to pay $79 out of pocket ($151 cost of 2 day pass-$72 value of voucher). But if she and I decide to stay another day can I upgrade and add one more day on? Then I'd pay $53 more ($204 cost of 3 day pass - $151 value of 2 day pass). Does that sound right?

And do I have to decide to upgrade before I use my final day on the 2 day ticket? Or can I decide to upgrade even after I've used my final day? We'd go 3 days consecutively, so can I upgrade on that final day we're planning on going, even though my 2 day hopper is already all used up?

You would have to upgrade before the end of the 2nd day, you couldn't go back on day 3 and ask to upgrade.

No, we're going in May. So as long as I upgrade before I leave on the 2nd day then I should be fine. Sound right?

What about a MM? If you'll be there for a MM *it'd be hard to visit when there wasn't a MM ~ *SAT SUN TUES THUR* upgrade from your GAD voucher to a 3 day so you get it.
