Can I upgrade a ticket to a seasonal Fl resident pass during a blackout date?

Hi all
We have 2 day MYW tickets for WDW as part of a FD package. We will be at WDW Dec 17-22. Can my mother upgrade her 2 day ticket to a seasonal fl resident pass on our 2nd day of ticket use since we will be at the parks Dec 20&21? These are black out dates for the seasonal pass. TIA!

Yes, you can use the two day ticket, and upgrade by the end of your second day to the seasonal pass with no problem. The best idea for FL residents who have to go during blackout times :). Small price to upgrade

FL resident tickets have blackout days now, right?

I'm not sure you can do this, but I am not an expert. I know she could use the tickets and upgrade them within 6 months to a seasonal pass but I don't know if you can upgrade to something that is blocked out. I'm pretty sure I tried to do that once and was told no

I don't see why she wouldn't be able to upgrade when she's there but she wouldn't be able to then turn around and use it during a blackout date. Is that what you're asking?

Thanks everyone! I guess we will find out. Worse case scenario we upgrade to the Fl Annual Pass, but looking at blackout dates for 2015 we usually go during the non-blackout date times (excepting this year--first Christmas season at WDW!) so I was thinking that the seasonal pass might make more sense.

No. She would upgrade on the last day of the 2D MYW ticket--that is our last park day (we are doing the MVMCP and 2 park days this time, then enjoying DTD and the resort decorations). Next entries would be during non-blackout dates in 2015. Thanks!

Only certain ones. We have the Florida annual pass with no blackout dates.

I'm talking about 4-day FL resident tickets. They now have blockout days. In the resent past, two years, you could pay FL rates for tickets (not passes) and go during blockout. Now you cannot.
