Can I transfer my 2006 points now?

I think the answer is YES. If you're looking to transfer your 2006 points, you would have to wait until your 2006 UY points have been allocated to your account. I believe you can not borrow points to transfer, borrowed points can not be transferred ..... you get the idea.

Personally, I would call Member Services and ask them. They are the only ones who really know the correct answer.

Here is what I got from MS a few weeks ago!

Thank you for contacting Members Services.

Only the member transferring the points needs to call. They will need the name and membership
number they wish to transfer the point into. This must be done by phone.

Borrowed or Banked Vacation Points may not be transferred.

Why do I have to borrow my 2006 points? That assumes I want to "use" the points for a 2005 ressie, right? Why can't it go into the other member's 2006 use year as well? We can already book 2006 trips, and I figured those wanting the 11 months ressie window for late Spring or summer would want the points now. No??

I guess I won't get the right answer until I call MS.

As long as you are already past your 2005 UY you can transfer your 2006 UY points. A couple of months ago, members transferred both Sep 05 and Dec 05 points into my account.

I transferred my 2005 UY (June) points to another member in February 2005. So I know you can do it before those points get allocated to your account. How far in advance, I don't know.

This is one of the areas where the answer depends on who you get and what day. That's one of the reasons I didn't respond initially. In general you need to be reachable to your use year you want to use, usually within 11 months of it. And the other members use year you want to transfer to needs to touch yours. But it doesn't have to be the same calendar year as the points you have. For example, if you had Dec, 2005 points, you could transfer to August 2005 or August 2006. You actually have to specify which one to transfer to and which resort if the recipient has more than one resort though they usually put it in the master (original) if you don't specify.
