Can I take snacks and beverages into the parks?

Again officially they do not allow food or drinks on the train.

I didn't notice any comments about this in the thread before, so I'm sorry if I'm making you repeat information.

The only reason I asked is because we always see people eating churros, pretzels, coffee, popcorn, etc. on the train.

does a "lunchable" with the separate crackers, ham, and cheese compartments count as separate fixings that are not allowed, or is the container considered pre-made as one thing that would be allowed?

We brought in Lunchables, still in their package, without a problem at all. DD loved eating them in front of the Partners statue :)

That is why I said "officially the answer is no." Just like Officially you are not allowed to bring in food, unless it is for a specific dietary need.

So officially you can't bring in your sandwhich - but they don't stop you from doing so and officially you are not allowed to eat while on the train - but they do not stop you.

I guess "officially" they have the option to ask you to dump it but on our daytrips I've never had a problem bringing tons of snacks (packaged in ziplocs, Lunchables, sandwiches, fruit in plastic containers...) and drinks (juice boxes, water [which I don't bother lugging anymore as you can get free ice water anywhere they sell ice/cup soft drinks!], sodas...)
Last week I took a giant foil insulated bag with no issue. Often I'll grab a $1 McDonald's soft drink on the way in and that's always been allowed as well.
