Can I switch credit cards after payment?

It's been so long since I used these boards that I can't remember my username and had to register again! I have always gotten the best advice here - thank you!

I have a question about payment. We just decided to do a spur of the moment trip in January. Dh applied for the Disney reward card today, but we won't have it for a week or so. I hate to book a package on another credit card and miss out on the rewards.

Is it possible to book it now and charge it to another card, and then call back when we get the Disney card and have them refund the first card and charge the Disney card?

Thank you so much for that info! I thought I remembered reading here years ago about someone having them refund and charge another card, but I wanted to make sure.

I don't want to wait any longer to book and risk losing the resort we want, but I really hate losing out on rewards points if it can be avoided!
