Help please?

Yesterday I ordered an Annual Pass from the Universal website. I elected to pick it up when we go to the parks which won't be until December, instead of having it mailed.
Here's the question: Can I use just the confirmation number of the AP to try to get APH discount for when we go?

You will not require the number when you book, however when you check in, they may or may not ask to see your pass. If the clerk asks for it, tell the front desk clerk that you are picking it up at the parks (they are used to it) after you have the pass, visit the front desk to show them to avoid being charged rack rate.

you have to activate the ap before it is valid for the discounts.
you do that at the parks.

once you have the ap, just show it at the front desk so your stay relects the ap discount.

When I made ressies at the RPR, I booked under the annual pass rate. I told them I would not have it at check in, (but would when we got back from the parks the first night). They told me no problem as long as I showed it when I got it. When I got there to check in...they did not ask for the pass and I paid the annual pass rate. I did get the pass that day, but never went show them (I was never asked to). Although i did have it in case I was asked again for some reason. Im sure it was just the mistake of the guy checking me in...as they are supposed to ask to see it.
Last year at Hard Rock, they did ask for it. Again I told them I was upgrading my reg ticket to an annual pass and I had to go to guest services at the park to do it....I paid the AP rate (even tho i didnt have it yet) and did go back to show them.

Thanks for the replies. I ordered my AP, but it looks like it's a moot point. I made ressies for RPR and there weren't any price reductions during our time there.
Should I keep calling about it?

Yes, keep calling. Ask for AAA and AP discounts. You can also check for AP discounts on line by using the code APH.
