Can I still apply a discount?

When I booked our trip the other night, I paid in full. Is it too late to apply a discount if one comes available?

I would call Disney if you receive one, it never hurts to try. I think you should be able to if it is not too close to your travel date. They usually just apply the pin, if not cancel an rebook under the new offer.

Yes, if there is availability, you can add a discount to any existing reservation, even if paid in full. From other people's experiences, they don't apply the discount back to you though, they give you a credit on your room--for charges. If you still have a credit when you check out, THEN they will issue you you a credit--and it *can* take up to 60 days before you receive it. It doesn't usually take that long, but they warn you it can.

I'm always booking under one code, but then applying another, if a better one comes out. They've always refunded the difference back to my credit card. In fact, I booked two trips for 2011 using the GP code that came out last January. When the AP code came out for my May trip I switched over to that and my credit card was refunded the difference. When I was down there earlier this month, I switched my Sept trip from the GP code to the bounceback deal and also booked another bounceback trip for late Nov/Dec. The CM asked if I wanted the difference for the Sept trip refunded to my credit card or if I'd like for her to apply it to the Nov/Dec ressie. When the AP discounts come out for Sept and again for Nov/Dec, I'll be applying that and hopefully be getting more money back. I go to WDW several times a year and do this just about every trip. My trip will be paid in full and if I apply a better code, the CM just always refunds the difference to the credit card I used. I've never had a problem getting my credit card refunded. They say it may take a couple of billing cycles, but the refund has always shown up on my card in less than a week.:confused3 I don't believe they will send you a check for the difference, but if you paid with a credit card, they will refund the difference to that card.
