Can I preorder solid color magicbands?

I have an upcoming trip and wanted to order some new magicbands, as some of my family have lost theirs. When I go to the page to order, it only shows me special ones, not the solid colors. Granted the special ones are showing a pre-arrival price of $20, but what if I only want a solid color?

People have been coming on the boards and reporting the solid ones haven’t been available for pre order or at shop Disney. Keep stalking, but in the meantime there are still solid colors at the parks and hotels for your arrival.

The only solid color that's been available lately is Raspberry.

Wow raspberry? Haha. Do you mean only raspberry available for preorder, or even if you buy at the parks or hotel there's only raspberry? I was hoping to make it easy and choose solid colors for my adult kids, but maybe I'll have to ask them to take a look at the special offerings.

The only solid color available to pre-order has been Raspberry. What's available at the parks & resorts is different.

Just a note that if you wait and order a MB at your resort or elsewhere on Disney property, you will pay full price.

Probably an intentional decision to increase profit off preordering. We could be generous and say the single color go fastest but they have them in the parks and they always had enough for freebies, so it’s hard to imagine that it is actually a supply issue.

of course even if they do run out in the parks it’s still the same thing as they clearly have ample mb production.

Yeah good point. I have some time, so I'll just keep watching what's available to pre order. My adult kids don't love the choices right now but it's not a huge deal.

If you see one, grab it fast. I sat there and watched a pale yellow and a periwinkle blue one disappear before my eyes, as I sat there procrastinating. I ended up with a Raspberry one for myself but my poor husband got stuck with a Haunted Mansion band. He barely wants to go to WDW, much less wear a bracelet with singing busts on it for four days. I'm going to try to find a plain black skin for his band.

Can you not order for part of your group? I just assumed that you could since you have to click on everyone separately. I didn't order anything so I didn't go all the way through. We have 4 people in our party and only one needs a band.

I thought you could only order once though, so like if I order a band for me that I like and one of my kids, I can't go back later and order two more.... but I could be wrong... If that's the case, it would be great, that we could wait and see if something better comes without missing out on the ones we like right now.

I was too. Then my trip came and went

Ended up wearing an old ugly green band from the free days because I refused to spend even more $

Can you not order for part of your group? I just assumed that you could since you have to click on everyone separately. I didn't order anything so I didn't go all the way through. We have 4 people in our party and only one needs a band.

You can decline MagicBands for those you don't want to order new ones for. You have to select each person on the reservation and either "decline" or select a MB before you can complete the ordering process.

Correct. You can only place one order.

We only need a new band for 1 person in our group my DD for her 21st it a May trip so fingers crossed. I wonder if it some kind of computer chip issue?

No, you must order at the same time for all guests in your party wishing to order bands. This makes it more challenging for sure!!

Nothing official to go by but I wouldn't count on these coming out in the near future.

I ran into this the last three trips. So annoying. Especially because it seems like another petty money grab to me. It doesn’t account for how often the options change. Logically they can allow orders up to a certain date and hold the items to ship at once together. They don’t need to force everyone to make a decision at the same time like “hey buy this. it’s now or never!” And if you don’t buy it’s more at the parks. Sheesh!
