Can I participate in E Night while staying at the Courtyar Marriott?

I just booked a 5 night stay at the Courtyard Marriott which is on Disney property. I know to be able to go to E Night and buy the tickets, you have to be staying at a disney resort. Is this considered a Disney resort or do we have to pass on E Night? Also, what is your opinion on the buses. Should we keep a car for our stay while there or rely on the buses? Thanks.

I've not stayed in the Downtown Disney Courtyard, but I do know that guests staying at the Downtown Disney Hilton can purchase E-night tickets at the Disney gift store in the lobby.

From what I understand you can participate in E-nights, just not the early entry. :D

We stayed at the Courtyard last August with the discounted rates, and liked it so well DH and I are again celebrating our anniversary there. We did not rent a car for that trip, and will probably not rent one in Aug either. We did an E-night, but did wait a long time for the Downtown Disney Hotels bus to arrive after e-night. The bus picks you up at the TTC, not in front of MK. Downtown Disney Hotels transportation is scheduled, running roughly every half hour to the parks. The transpo to the water parks occurs less frequently--maybe twice in the am, and once early afternoon, and late afternoon for return. If you have a multi-day pass you are entitled to use Disney buses. We would catch a bus to Downtown Disney (after a meal, or whatever) and walk (for us 15 minutes) from the Disney bus stop to the Courtyard. The Downtown Disney Hotel buses are more comfortable than the regular Disney buses, but do stop at all the hotels. Courtyard is usually the 2nd stop, had no trouble getting seats, compared to Disney transportation.

I did miss being able to run to Publix, but lived without it.

Thanks everyone. My husband and I stayed 2 years ago at the Caribbean Beach resort and participated in E night and loved it. Being that we will only have 3 or 4 days at the parks, I wanted to go to E Night again.
Another quick question if you don't mind. Has anyone gone to Universal/Islands of Adventure. Do you think it's worth giving up a day at Disney to go to Universal?
Thanks.

Islands of Adventure is very different from the Disney parks IMO. It's great for those who love the more adventurous rides. Depending on your preferences, I would say yes to that. The Spiderman ride is unbelievable. The Journey into Atlantis (I think that's the name) has great special effects.
