...and then go to MK via the Monorail after we have dinner at Narcoosee's? Has anyone had a problem parking there for dinner and then going to a park?

Thanks

They ask you not to, and usually will only give you a 3 hour parking pass. I would say no. It's better to park at MK and go over to GF from there.

You can do as you suggest if you choose to valet park instead of self park with no time restrictions on most days. I think valet is a better choice anyway. The self parking is a bit of a walk from the front of the hotel

Agree. Self parking at GF is a hike and they'll give you a 3 hour pass. Since you'll likely be dressing nicely for dinner at Narcoossees, you may appreciate using the valet instead which means you can head to the MK after.

After Narcoossee's, instead of going back to the main building to take the monorail, the dock for the launches is very close to the restaurant and you can take aboat.

Even if you did the self parking at the Grand Floridian & then went to the Magic Kingdom, there is a chance your car could be towed & the same goes for the parking lots at the Contemporary & Polynesian. I have never seen cars towed before, however others have posted here that they have seen it happen.

You could park in the MK parking lot, take the monorail over to the GF, then take the monorail or boat over to MK. Then back to the MK parking lot.

That is not a bad suggestion because this way the OP can stay at the Magic Kingdom until they close & not have worry about ruhsing back to their car at the TTC.

Arent fancy dinners and valet parking birds of a feather? Maybe its just me, but I dont see why you would consider anything else:confused3

If you have the Disney Dining Experience discount card (DDE) your valet is free. I think the restaurant validates your valet stub or something. We never took advantage of that perk since we stay onsite and don't drive our vehicle.

Not supposed to.....go to the MK via your resort bus & then take the boat to the GF.

They don't validate your stub at a restaurant.

Why are you not allowed to do that? If someone is staying at a WDW Resort there is nothing wrong with taking a Disney Transport Bus to the Magic Kingdom & taking the boat to the Grand Floridian. Some people say it's faster then taking the Monorail because it would have to go all the way around from the Magic Kingdom Monorail station, all the way back to the Grand Floridian which could take at least 25 minutes.

I wouldn't park at GF anyway unless I was going to valet park, and you're paying the same fee to do that as you would to park in the MK lot, plus tip. I think if you use DDE to valet park, they want to see the receipt from dinner. The receipt will have a time on it. If the time on the receipt is long before the time you pick up your car, they may charge you.

GF has one of the worst self-parking lots on property.

No you can not park at the Grand Floridian and go to the MK. That was the answer to that question.
Unless I am seeing something different NEVERENOUGHWDW said "Not supposed to.....go to the MK via your resort bus & then take the boat to the GF". I thought that means taking a Disney Transport Bus from another WDW Resort, to the Magic Kingdom & go to the Grand Floridian by boat. People in the past who have had ADR's at the Grand Floridian & have stayed on WDW property were told they could go that route if they wanted to. So I don't quite see where that is wrong?

Not supposed to..... means anwer to OP's question. Go to the MK via your resort bus & then take the boat to the GF is the suggestion on how to get to dinner and the MK without parking.

That is the reason for the ....... between the two answers.

You may be misreading that post. They mean you are not supposed to park at GF for dinner, then go to the MK for the rest of the night, which the OP is thinking of doing. Then, they are suggesting that as an alternative, the OP take a resort bus to MK and then ride the boat over to GF for dinner, then go back to MK.

The OP has not said, however, that they're staying onsite.

Should add that when we've valet parked using DDE (four previous trips now) we've yet to be asked for the dinner receipt. We just show our DDE card and that's been it. Of course, I hasten to add that we've never valet parked at any resort and then gone on to a theme park. Our DDE valet parking has just been for dinner.. which I believe is the intent of that perk.
