Can I park at the Grand Floridian....

Finally WDW has started to tow, which I have to admit I am happy about it! If you want the location & convienence of the GF, Poly, CR pay for it!

Unless I am seeing something different NEVERENOUGHWDW said "Not supposed to.....go to the MK via your resort bus & then take the boat to the GF". I thought that means taking a Disney Transport Bus from another WDW Resort, to the Magic Kingdom & go to the Grand Floridian by boat. People in the past who have had ADR's at the Grand Floridian & have stayed on WDW property were told they could go that route if they wanted to. So I don't quite see where that is wrong?
Taking WDW transportation to GF is fine, parking there for the MK is not. You may be towed at it isn't fair to those paying for GF.

NEVERENOUGHWDW,
Sorry for the confusion before & I agree with you 100% that I am also happy WDW is now towing more cars who parked at the Magic Kingdom Resorts for dinner, then decided to head on over the Magic Kingdom. My family & I have stayed at the Contemporary a lot & I can't tell you how much time it takes to park there because of all the cars parked for Chef Mickey's, Concourse Steakhouse & the California Grill. I know there are some guests who park there just for the restaurants & do not go over to the MK, however I am sure there are some that go to the MK after & if they come back to find their cars towed I would not feel sorry for them. When were paying over $400 for per night for a Concierge room, why should we not also get the best parking spaces that are available.

Our last time staying at the CR we walked back to the resort twice from the MK to see cars being loaded onto flatbed wreckers. Both times there were no Disney parking permits on their dashes.

Once again I say good for the Contemporary that they are doing this more often & parking there has got even harder since a lot of the spaces in the North lot have been fenced off due the tearing down of the North Garden Wing building.

IMHO, I still think that the Towing story is a Disboards urban legend promulgated by those staying at GF, Poly and CR. To be safe though, I would valet it at the GF. They will not tow your car if it is in thier custody, trust me. I have asked before on these boards if anyone has actually had THEIR car towed (not just seen a tow truck in the parking lot or heard a story from a CM etc.) and have yet to have anyone confirm that they have been towed.

We watched it last Saturday night, so I guess it is legend no more.

I didn't really mean to start anything with the thread. It seemed as though it would be a way to go, but it seems as though it would be more convenient to drive to MK, take WDW transportation to GF and then back again. Thanks
