Can I just say I LOVE my DH?!?!

DH has been doing the "I've got a surprise for you!" annoyance since Thursday...giving me hints like:

Both you and Jazz (the dog) will be happy
It requires us leaving the house
I had to get 2

hmm...what would make me and the dog happy?

Last night he said "Jazzy, you get to go swimming!"

Are we getting a pool? I asked
Are we rich? he asked back

ok...so the only place Jazz can swim is at my IL's house, so we must be dropping her off there for them to watch and then going someplace.

I asked "is it a sporting event?" (his IL's live close to Gillette stadium in Mass)
Nope
A concert?
he gets a silly smile on his face...noooo

of course I was right...I wrangled the date out of him, went online and searched ticketmaster.com for that date.

He got us Kenny Chesney tickets!!! Woo-hoo! We didn't get them when he was in CT and I REALLY wanted to see Rascal Flatts...but Rascal Flatts ended up not performing anyway due to the lead singer losing his voice (Keith Urban filled in) that night.

I'm so excited! But now I gotta wait until the end of August!

I love it when DH says he has "surprises" for me then won't say anything...I KNOW he'll crack in under 3 days!

Lucky!! My best friend had tickets to the Wichita Falls show he cancelled and then started talking about rumors that the real reason he cancelled is because he didn't feel appriciated there and then she said when he was there with Rascal Flatts is was an awful concert. I couldn't believe those rumors. I'm more likely to believe people in Wichita Falls are just "different". Anyways, I have tickets to see Tim McGraw next weekend. I'm so excited!! I never go to concerts, but couldn't resist this time. DH is going and my best friend (and her boyfriend) are going with me. It's taken me 10 years to get dh used to country music and now he even wears a cowboy hat and boots. He actually wants me to ship both of his hats to WDW so he can have both of them there. Crazy! I told him to wear one and pay his son to wear the other.

I heard GOOD things about his performance in CT too! (We had a wedding that night, so we couldn't go)

Dh converted me to country...used to HATE it...but now, my car radio is pretty much stuck on the country station!

Just want to add one more reason as to WHY this is such a surprise for me.

DH and I have never paid for concert tickets. We always try to win them off the radio (we can be VERY cheap/frugal at times!)

I won tickets to see Dave Matthews and took DH one year...year later I won tickets to Mighty Mighty Bosstones and took my friend...

so this is a BIG deal for him...actually paying for concert tickets? heheh...that's what shocked me the most.

wonder where we'll be sitting? hmmm...never been to the Tweeter Center before...
