Can I give back borrowed points?

Hi...
Just wondering....
I made 2 ressies this year...
I had to borrow 26 pts from 08....

If i change ressie....I'm getting an AP....so in oct...i was thinkin
maybe a great rate somewhere for fri,sat...

Anyway that will give me back some points...plus the ones i borrowed...
my use yr is april...

If i change my ressie will i lose those borrowed pts?When do they expire?

Once borrowed, the points stay in the use year they are used, so you will need to use your borrowed points for something by next April. It's possible, depending on you banking deadlilnes, that you might restructure the points used for your ressie so that you can free up the same number of current points and bank into next year. I don't know if MS would do that, but you can always ask. If you're a newer member, you could always plead "ignorance of youth." I've head MS will sometimes try to work harder with newbies still learning the ropes.

You can re-allocate the points. If you use the borrowed points first for the '07 ressies that you will use, and then the '07UY points, do you have some '07 UY left to bank? That could be done, just work with MS and go over the process carefully.

Those borrowed points from '08 have become '07 points and will expire the last day of March '08.

I was hoping that i could use the borrowed points on
07 ressies...
Then bank some of the ones i didnt borrow

I will call ms...and get "official info"
Maybe they will see that I was in system
about 5 minutes before....I went point crazy

Only problem, if there is a waitlist for the days you are changing, you are actually cancelling and rebooking. You go to the bottom of the list for rebooking.
