We have ADR's for CRT, Chef Mickey, Play & Dine and Sci-Fi. That's it for our meals in the parks. We have a kitchen so, all other meals will be in our room.

While we don't want to eat any other meals out, we'd still like to experience 50's Prime Time Cafe and Liberty Tree Tavern. Is it possible to get a late evening dessert at any of these places? I would love to take the kids into the 50's Prime Time and get us each a big gooey dessert.

Hi.

Liberty Tree Tavern is a set price, family style dinner so the answer is no for that one.

I would think you could at PTC

you should have no problem we once book the castle for late time just for dessert. when we booked told them it was only for dessert had no problem.

Here is a report from some people who went to Bistro for desserts (with photos). It can definitely be done.

That's true, but maybe they can make a lunch ADR for dessert only. There won't be characters at lunch, but they can still experience the food & restaurant.

Was this recently you did this? Thanks!

We have had a late afternoon ressie at both Prime Time and Sci Fi and went in just for dessert. IT's fun to have the experience of these places with out the high prices for the meals.

Since Liberty Tree isn't one that will work for just desserts....and since Sci Fi has FABULOUS thick creamy with real ice cream milk shakes (excuse me while I wipe away the drool)....I'd suggest switching these two around. EAT at Liberty tree, and then go to Sci Fi for a shake and watching the movies. Sci Fi foods are pretty humdrum, ordinary really.....but Liberty Tree is a character meal so definitely a "do" with young children.

The various films/movies/cartoons at Sci run almost exactly 1 hour long...so you'll have to stretch that milkshake a bit to see it all, but they're funny and fun to watch so stay as long as you can.

Thank you for the advice. I'm going to try to get a lunch ressie at LTT. If I can, we'll do the dessert at Sci-Fi. :)

Thanks!

Yeah, and Sci-Fi has grown-up shakes with Bailey's and Kahlua, mmmmmmmm...

We walked in there after Fantasmic last May, it was so late after the dinner hour that the place was about half empty, and had shakes. Loved the movie clips...

Just remember for the lunch ADR @ LTT there are NO characters. You would have to book a dinner ressie if you plan to see the characters.:)

I know of several people who did book ADRs for CRT for dessert only, but, they all said it was not worth it because they could not enjoy the fireworks show and were the last ones out of the park.

That is interesting info on CRT dessert only. I didn't realize that was possible. Hopefully, someone with recent experience will let us know if they were able to do that or not. How would they even charge you for dessert only? Inquiring minds want to know. :scratchin

Thanks. I would have tried for lunch first but would rather have character if it's possible. I'm calling in the morning. Fingers crossed!!

Mmmmmm.....Bailey's milkshake at Sci-Fi??? Oh yeah!

We have ADRS for CG at 9:20. With a DMIL that likes to eat at 5:00 and 2 tweeners that can't find anything on the menu they would eat, I was wondering about eating CS earlier and then show up at CG to catch Wishes and just get dessert. Do you think there would be any problem with this? TIA

We've done dessert at 50's Prime Time. Try the S'Mores or Dad's Sunday. They are great. Shakes are also delicious.

I don't think you should have a problem with this. The place will be starting to clear out then anyway as the firewors will have finished. Only thing is the food at CG is so good, it's a shame that you'll only get to try dessert there.

No, Wishes is at 10:00 the night we are going. This was the reason we were going to CG.
