Amen on the rant Pete!!! I love it, I've missed the rants, and I agree entirely! This is EXACTLY how I feel about the company. Unfortunately the only thing in my power is to hope I can keep the magic on the front lines so people keep coming back.

You got it!

AMEN! Pete, I hope just one Disney exec listened to your show and passed on your comments around the offices in Glendale and Lake Buena Vista!

It was a wonderful rant. I missed the rants. I'm glad they're back.

I loved the rant on disney. I am not a AP holder, but I do agree they should do something for the people that come back often, AP holder or not. But I have to tell you I do daycare and was listening during nap time, and I do not remember who said it, but it sure made me laugh. Something about storing the kids. There are times I would love to STORE a few little ones!!!!:rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh.

Hey, Pete, more proof that Disney knows that their stuff is overpriced. I got a PIN code to "help" me prepurchase a Disney Merchandise Credit card. It's only good on merchandise from WDW and it doesn't expire. There are no balance soaking fees either.

They are offering me a chance to purchase a $500 card for $395, a $600 card for $445, and a $1000 card for $695. On a $500 worth of merchandise, it's like getting a 21% discount. On a $600 worth of merchandise, it's like getting almost a 26% discount. And on $1000 worth of merchandise, it's like getting a 30.5% discount.

The merchandise hasn't been reduced in price in the parks, but they know that it's still got plenty of profit padded in there if they are willing to offer these deals. Personally, we like this "deal". We will be buying a $1000 card for our upcoming trip and I will be buying a $500 card for my solo trip next April. I realize that Disney is just padding their bottomline, but since I already have the budget for "pins & stuff" in place, I may as well go ahead and get the merch for the "discount".

Your rant was right on! :thumbsup2
