Can I get a virtual que before I get my annual pass activated at guest relations?

I did not have to in May! I just made reservations and it automatically activated when I entered the park with my MagicBand

For anyone who's curious, I called the AP number today and you no longer have to activate your Annual Pass at a Ticket Window as long as you:

1) Are out-of-state (so you don't need to prove residency for a discounted in-state pass)
2) Link your AP to your MDE account
3) Have MagicMobile or a Magic Band


If all of the above three things apply, then you can go straight to the turnstiles at your first park and your pass will automatically be activated upon entry. If any of the above doesn't apply to you, then you still do have to visit a Ticket Window to activate your pass first.

If you WANT an AP card, you can still pick one up at a Ticket Window, but you really don't need one: to take advantage of AP discounts, you can show your ticket in your MDE account with photo ID instead.
