Can I follow the guest path from HRH to Universal if I’m not a hotel guest?

I won’t be staying on-site. I wanted to be able to rope drop the parks, but the CityWalk opens up at the same time that the parks open to regular guests.

Am I allowed to take an Uber to the Hard Rock Hotel, and then walk over with the hotel guests doing early access?

Edit for clarification, I’m not trying to sneak in to the parks early...

Everyone is allowed in at 7am. And since I’m not a hotel guest, I’ll be held at Suess until 8am.

But I wanted to know, if I was allowed to use the walking path since I’m not a hotel guest.

Anyone can use car service and be dropped off at any of the onsite hotels.

Many use the footpath from the hotels to reach the parks.

I stayed at RP in October and used the footpath from my hotel to HR to visit friends m.

Hotel guests can use the early entry set up for the parks but they must show their hotel room key card.

Since you won’t have one, you can’t sneak into the park early.

Disboards have rules.
Trying to circumvent the rules in any way is not allowed.

Maybe you misread. I meant that as a park guest and not a hotel guest, I know I’m allowed into the park at the same time, but I’ll be held at Suess until 8am.

I was asking, if I would be able to use the guest path if I didn’t have a room key, since you have to go through the pool gate. Or if there was another way to get there.

Yes, we use the path from HRH all the time when we aren't staying there. We often visit Universal while staying at a WDW resort, so we will get dropped off at HRH via Uber. You would not use the pool gate. When you are dropped off, you would not even need to enter resort. Follow the sidewalk to the left of the main entrance, down the stairs, hang a right down the sidewalk towards the Woodstock Lawn, and then out to the main pathway right where the water taxi dock is. You will not be asked to show proof you're a guest at any point.

I think you may have some bad information.

We usually arrive & park about an hour before rope drop, get through security (which is open) and then walk through citywalk to our park of choice. Typically we're in the park about 30 min before rope drop and will stop to get breakfast or meander around a bit. I'm not sure you need to go through the HRH path, though it seems you'd be able to if you wanted.

I was under the impression that if you are a hotel guest, one of the perks for staying there is you get one park with early open each day, which would be 7am if the regular park opening is 8am.
So, with that said, I have always had to show my room key to enter with early entry.
I don't know how you would get around that. It is a perk we get as paying guests.

Assuming the City Walk entrance opens early, then the only real benefit of taking the HRH path is that its considerably less busy both for Uber drop-off and security than the main City Walk drop-off and entrance would be. IMO, this benefit is better realized on the way back from the parks at the end of the day - much faster and easier to locate your Uber by calling for pick up at HRH than it is by calling for pick up at the main area outside of City Walk.

Early entry is a perk of for hotel guests. I haven't taken advantage of this perk in a few years, but from what I remember, virtually anyone is allowed in at the 7am time (if the park opens at 8am), but there are staff members stationed at checkpoints in the park checking for room keys. Only those with room keys would be permitted through to the areas where rides are operating during early entry. If you do not have a room key, you would not be permitted through and would have to wait in the front areas. I have no idea if this has changed, but I believe this is what OP is referring to when they said they'd be held at Seussland.

This is still the case. Anyone can enter the park at the EE time, but you cannot access the open rides or the HP area without proper credentials (room key). A barricade blocks you from exiting Seuss Landing.

Anyone can use or visit the hotels via bus, boat, or the walking path. (They do want people to eat at the hotel restaurants). Going early still needs a room key though.
