Money is very tight this year. The only one we are buying for id our daughter and we have to be very careful even with what we spend on her. She wants ans Nintendo DS but I can't spend more than $100 for it. Will I be able to find it??/

this is a very good question. the lowest price i've seen so far is dell.com which was about $117.00 with tax, but i missed out on that one. i need one as well-it's the only thing left on DD's list.

I just got the DS LITE for my DS and it was $129.99, I turned in his old ds and got a $40 credit. Do you have any older games or systems you could turn in to make up the difference? This was at Gamestop.

If you have a gameboy you can trade it in to Gamestop and get a brand new nintendo ds for $90. I think that Amazon was having a special recently and if you use Bill Me Later in top of it you could get a DS for $98. I do not know if that is still going on.

I got ds his on Ebay. I used the live.com rebate and got it for $105 shipped. The rebate does not come off automatically and you have to wait 60 days for it.

it is almost impossible to find a Nintendo for less than $129.99. They usually don't discount game systems, but you can find bundles that are cheaper than if you bought all the components separately. Check the BF ads coming out this week.

I did see a Nintendo DS at FYE for $129.99 then get a $20 rebate yesterday. I don't think you'll be able to find one for under $100 unless maybe you buy used on ebay or something.

I agree with the above posters,
and remember it comes with NO games....you will have to shell out even more for a game, at least $20 buck, possibly more than that!

You are goijng to have to come up with another $30!!! Ugh, I know!

Every now and then, Target will run a promo and mark it down a few bucks (literally, a FEW bucks) or will run a promo..get a $10 gift card with purchase. But, remember, that $10 will get eaten up by tax to buy it there.

What I would do is just buy it at amazon or another tax-free place, then you are just paying the $129.

gamestop.com has a refurbished ds lite on there now $99.99
I'm sure there is tax and shipping but that's pretty good. I'd check out the warranty because I don't know if they offer one. Good luck.

Is Gamestop still having that deal where you can trade in your old Gameboy? I thought that deal ended? If not, I think I'm going to do that. My son is going to wonder where his gameboy went but oh well! HA!

Okay I was just looking on QVC and they have some bundle packs on 5 easy payments of $39 if that helps any. I'm not sure if it's a "great" deal though since it just comes with 2 games. ETA and it comes with a case also.

I know some people just cring when they hear that name. I found one that was either buy it now at $115 or best offer. I offered $90 and it was accepted. Course with shipping and handling in the end it cost me around $108 and some change. I also was offered an extended warrenty through square trade for $11.99 that I also bought. This is for my daughter and she is very rough on stuff, so I wanted to be protected incase something happened.

This DS came with everything, box, charger, manuals. Before I left feedback I wanted to make sure it charged and it did and works great {yes I played it with some of my son's games :lmao: }

Just an idea if you want one cheap. Just read the auctions carefully and check the seller's feedback also before bidding.

Good luck!

Wow ~ I hope so! I'll try to check it out today & post to let you know. :thumbsup2

I know not everyone is comfortable with this idea, but we purchased a used DS for my daughter at Gamestop for $89. They are both getting used games from Gamestop in their stocking as well. They always (for me anyway) work fine and come with a "must work" guarantee.

Since this may come up later, I will add that I would not buy a used game or system for anyone other than my own children. ;)

Add me to checking out Gamestop as well for the used units. I knew my boys and I got my youngest a regular DS and my oldest DS light. I also bougt the warranty because somehow it ended up in the bathtub and we got a replacement on it. Well worth it.

See if any of the Black Friday ads include a DS bundle. That means it includes the price of the games.

Last year I got a Playstation 3 Bundle for my son. The system, along with 3 games, cost the same as the regular system would have. I saved over $100.
