Can I downgrade a 1 day ticket . . .

from MK to Epcot/DHS/AK? The fine print clearly states it is not good for admission to those parks. But it costs more. Do I have to exchange it for a new ticket? Am I out of luck? It is a peak season ticket, and it will be peak season, so that is not a factor.
