OK, so I was wondering if this will work. I have a reservation already for my home resort dates 10/9 - 10/16/11. I want to try to get something in the Boardwalk area in the beginning of this trip. Can I make reservation for dates 10/4 - 10/10 (at 7 months) and still keep SSR added on from dates 10/10- 10/14 or do I have to call back being it is more then 7 days? I hope I explained this right. I will be away during this time and would like to make the least amount of phone calls as possible.

Hi, two different resorts count as two different reservations, so you won't run into the 7 day limit. They won't be linked. Do you need the drop the first night at SSR? (maybe you mean to overlap). Anyway, that shouldn't be a problem either.

I agree w/ PP. If you call on March 4th you should be able to change up to 7 nights (10/4 up through 10/10 [checkout 3/11] if you wanted) from SSR to another resort (assuming it is available). You can shorten the SSR ressie at any time, so that wouldn't be an issue...

Not sure if having two rooms under the same guest names would be an issue on the 10th (i.e. officially check out of BWV on the 11th but check in to SSR on the 10th so you aren't 'homeless' mid-day on the 10th) but I've never read anything specifically prohibiting it, just also no examples of it being done. That said, I will probably try for an overlap night during a split stay I'm planning between BLT studio (currently booked) & a THV in Sep. 2011 if the couple we plan to travel with can commit @ 7 months.

Excuse me, what is the 7 nights rule? I´m a newbie here, does it mean I can´t book more than 7 nights in the same reservation?

You can't book more than 7 nights if you are calling at the beginning of your 7 or 11 month window. In other words, I could call today for a reservation at my home resort stating 12/3/2011 and reserve up to 7 nights (up to the night of 12/9/11). If you want more nights, you could call each day and add a night or wait until all nights would be eligible (if you wanted to book up to 12/12, you could wait 3 days and add the remaining 3 days). This is so people don't call and block alot of nights at their 7 or 11 month window. Once you are past the 7 or 11 month window, you can book an unlimited number of nights.

Thanks all. Good to know. I have to make sure I don't leave a night out. That is always my fear when I book two resorts. :lovestruc

Just make sure that check out from the first one and check in day for the second one are the same. Then you will be all set!!!

So, first one is 10/4 to 10/10 and the second one is 10/10 - 10/16.

as a side note: call as soon as MS opens the morning your 7 month window opens. the F&WF is then, and the EPCOT resorts do get booked solid quickly (we waitlisted a few days at 10 months, for an Oct 2010 BWV studio, and it never came through).

good luck!
