Can I do this? (Ticket question)

We are going to be at Disney World from Sept. 24 - Oct. 4. We have tickets for all of the days.

We are also going to be in the area on july 31. for 1 day.

Would it be worth it to make my tickets non expire and use one of the days before my big trip or just pay for the one day.

I don't know if I can do this? If I can would it mess with the free dinning?

For Free Dining, you have to purchase at least a two-day ticket (unless you used a PIN that only required a one day ticket). Those tickets don't have to be used on your trip - they can be saved - if it makes more sense to have one ticket for the July and September trips. But you still have to purchase them for everyone in your group.

How many park days will you have on your September trip? The maximum MYW ticket is ten days, so if you plan to spend 10 days in the parks in September, you can't buy an 11-day ticket to include your July date. Your trip is 11 days counting arrival and departure dates. Do you already have two separate tickets to total 11 days, or are you not counting the arrival and/or departure days?

There is a huge cost difference between a 9-day base ticket and a 10-day non-expiring ticket, so if you just need one day in July, it's better to buy one day tickets for July and package tickets for September. The only time no-expiring makes sense is when you are taking several short trips on one ticket.
