Can I do this on Dining Plan?

I am having such a hard time getting ADR's that we are eating at several restaurants that I know my 11 and 13 year old will not like anything on the adult menu. Can I use our dining plan credits for DH, DS and myself who will be ordering from the adult menu and then just pay for something on the child's menu or even just order an appetizer for the other two? Could I then use the other two dining plan credits at an additional meal?

You can always choose to pay OOP for some and DP for others, so Yes.

Where are you eating that you don't think they'll like anything? What do they like?

You should be able to do that as long as your not at a buffet or a family style meal. My DH and I are going to a 2 credit TS meal by ourselves. I will be using my DD's extra TS credits to pay for a character breakfast and a dinner for her but paying OP for the other meals.

If I could get into any buffets that would be great but they are all booked! Right now I have Chefs de France booked and I know they will want chicken fingers. What does my DD and DS eat - not much! They give new meaning to the word "picky" that is why I try to stay with the buffets. I would say it was poor parenting but my oldest DS eats EVERYTHING (well that could just be because he is a growing teenager). LOL:rotfl2:

To see if you could get an adult sized portion of the what is on the kids menu. Ive heard of others being able to do so. Or some have ordered an appetizer in place of their meal I believe.

You can order for them and pay out of pocket. Just make sure your server knows which meals are being paid with dining credits and which will be paid with cash.

You could also ask if they could get an appetizer in place of an entree. You could also order them kids' meals but pay for them with their adult credits.

Be flexible with your buffet options:

Trails End Buffett at the Campground serves three meals a day, you should be able to book one of those. Fried chicken and other basic foods populate those menus.

Boma, breakfast is known to be other worldly so you may have a chance eating there vs dinner.

Hollywood & Vine's character meals seem to have availability though the character part will be "beneath" your cool kids. It could be a meal they'd eat and fun watching the little cutie pies shake there booties. This a breakfast or lunch option. By the way we had dinner here last summer: Fantastic Air Conditioning!!!

I have a relatively picky 6yo nephew "they put salad on my sandwich" :rolleyes1 This due to some lettuce on his McDonald's fish filet. It had to be plain, fish and bread only. I told him some day he'll be trying to eat me out of house and home and bringing his friends with him. He told me he wouldn't let his friends eat too much. He's such a sweetie pie.

Let us know if any of these work for you.
