Can I combine a Studio and 1br for a 2br?

VWL has dedicated studios, 1 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms as well as lockoffs. It's possible the 2 studios you have are dedicated, so they could not be connected to a 1 bedroom. It's possible the 1 bedrooms available are dedicated also.

It's not easy for them to just switch around the reservations because it could have implications for someone arriving on a different day. What they can't have happen is someone who has a 2 bedroom lockoff booked and the only studios & 1 bedrooms available are not connected on the day they arrive.

Got it. Makes sense, thanks.

I don't think MS can see it, but the system has to know which room type you are assigned when they book it so the system knows whether they have that 2 bedroom lockoff available.

I was of the understanding that it was predetermined how many lock-offs at each resort would be reserved as 2 bedrooms and how many would be reserved as 1 bedrooms or studios comes before the 11 month window opens so once they are assigned even if thosde that are available are from lock-offs the system will only see them as seperate units (because having them assigned as each determines the number of points available for the night for booking).

I want to say that I have been offered a 2 bedroom lock-off when a studio is not available and if they could break it at booking time why offer it as a 2 bedroom if I only wanted the studio.

I had heard the same thing. It would certainly make sense to have things decided ahead of time.
