Can I charge photo pkg to stateroom?

I need to spend approx. $400 to reach my next bonus for my Disney Vacation Account so I'm trying to prepay for as much as possible. Could I add money (credit) to my stateroom account now to pay for the cost of the photo package once we are on the ship?

Has anyone done this? Will it work? (go toward bonus on DVA and charge photo package to stateroom)

Yes. You can prepay as much as you want into your on board account. The photo package if you don't buy it prior to leaving is available onboard and gets charged to your stateroom.

Everything you buy on the ship gets paid out of your onboard account.

You could also preorder it from their website. Depending on which package you get, you'll receive a discount on it.

How much is the discount to pre-purchase? The website does not list a discount for pre-purchasing.

In March I believe it was 15% for all photos plus a CD and 10% for just the CD. I was trying to look it up on their site, but it's not pulling up for me tonight .

But do note that if you purchase it in advance through the MyCruisePhotos website, you pay them directly...therefore, you will not be adding to your goal of spending on your Disney account. The discount is usually only good on "whole photo packages" not the 10 and 20 photo packages. Since ours was $429 WITH the discount, I am glad we did it in advance.
