Can i call to apply discount to boyfiends reservation?

my boyfriend wants next years trip in his name so the Mickey mail says his last name instead of mine. If I book the trip online using his login can I call disney disney when the discounts come out to see if it can be applied to the reservation or does he have to since the trip is in his name. It would be just the two of us on the reservation and we have our separate mde accounts. I just know he wouldn't want to wait on the phone for a long time like I'd be willing to do.

It doesn't matter since you will be on the res too and even then it doesn't really matter much
I made three res and only one is in my name, I call and "fix" things without issue on all three

That's what I thought but wanted to be sure before I did it. We've always used a ta for our trips so calling disney myself was never an option.

As long as you can verify 3 points of information on the reservation they don't care who is calling.
