Hi all. I am considering doing a small add on, and instead of disney charging me interest, I was thinking of putting it on my 0% interest credit card so I can pay it off with no interest. I can't find anywhere online if I can buy resale or direct from DVC with a major credit card. TIA

We purchased direct from DVC a few times and put in on a major credit card. No financing through them. No problem at all. Not sure outside of DVC.

Yes, Disney takes credit cards for the purchase. Just added on 30 points in August and used the Disney Visa which gives 6 months, 0%.

Good luck!

You can use a balance transfer check from a 0% or low% card though for resale.

Hmm, hopefully a Timeshare Store person will respond because I would go resale if I could use my 0% CC. It's only good for purchases though, no checks or transfers.

Why not give them a quick call or an email? I'm sure they will get back to you promptly. Please let me know if they say no though, because they did say yes last week and that would concern me.

I was informed this week that you can. There is a $35 processing fee though.

Good to know. I've always used my cc when buying points directly from Disney. I wondered about resale purchases too.

You can only use the balance transfer check for the deposit, not for the final payment.

You could if you write yourself the check, deposit it, and then send the money via cashier's check.

We did exactly that (pay with credit card) so we could get the miles... to go to FL, of course. :goodvibes

For a direct purchase, DVC told me they do accept credit cards. I didn't hear about any fees. They are flexible in working with the limits on a card.

They would split the total among multiple cards if needed.

They were also willing to take half of the total and charge the card right away, then charge the remaining half the following month.

I ended up buying resale, so I didn't put these offers to the test.
