My "baby" brother turned 17 this year and will be graduating from high school in June. He just got his first mid-term report card back, and his marks ranged from a high of 99% in Accounting to a "low" of 93% in Physics. He is taking 5 courses, 4 of which are math-related (he is one of those rare ones who just LOVES math!). I am so very proud of him, especially since when I was his age (10 years ago now!
), I got a 54% in math. His goal (right now, anyway) is to get a business degree and then go to law school, and perhaps get his CA (which enables him to be a chartered accountant). I know it sounds like a lofty goal, but I have full confidence in him and am a little jealous; when I was his age I had no idea what I wanted to do. He has his whole future ahead of him and is such a great kid!

Thanks, guys
He really is a really super kid, works hard and truly is dedicated. He's very self-motivated; when he was 15, he told his supervisor at his summer job (which he got the summer he turned 13) that he wouldn't come back the next year unless he was made a supervisor (there are several); sure enough, he got the position the next summer (and I know he was joking but hey, it worked)! He gets along great with people and loves to speak in public...he gives lots of hugs...and he's very sensitive to others' feelings.
