Can I brag a little? WARNING; pic heavy!

Yesh! You should try it. It was actually surprisingly easy to paint canvas shoes. I'm very tempted to doctor my solid-colored real Toms, even. :)

Hm...let's see: for Epcot, you could do the Mickey head flags at world showcase (though this could be tedious and you'd need lots of different paint colors. Or you could go basic and do Spaceship Earth

For AK, you could do the obvious animal print. That'd be really easy to paint on shoes, too!

For DHS, maybe the sorcerer's hat on one shoe and a silhouette of Sorcerer Mickey on the other?

For MK, maybe the silhouette of the Castle? You could get a pair of sparkly pink canvas shoes and do this design and it'd be so adorable! :goodvibes

I wish I had a talent for sketching as I think it would be cute to execute these ideas!

I was kinda thinking about doing the freezer paper stencil with my cricut machine - you cut on the design on the freezer paper remove the design use the other part - iron in on then paint - the freezer paper keeps it from going all over the place - ironing on the canvas shoes would be the problem

oh you need Tink on the other shoe with the Castle

Love them! I've been dying for those Toms on etsy too but they are so expensive. I'm too afraid to paint mine, as someone else said, for fear or ruining them because I'm not the best artist either. But yours look great!

Do what I did and get some cheapo canvas shoes to practice on. That way, if you mess up, it isn't such a waste :)

They look amazing!!! I agree, why buy when you can make yourself!!! Did you use acrylic paint and then waterproof them?

Omg what a great idea!!! Thinking I can do that for a black pair and just add the evil queen symbols!! The apple and her crown! Or for Donald his hat! Omg so many ideas!!!!!

Tim's or so expensive. I have two pair but they are the sparkle and the lace so I can't really paint those. Guess I'll head to target or Walmart clearance soon.

I used fabric paint, actually. And yes, I used waterproofing spray after the paint dried.

I have three pairs of Toms but they're so expensive that I didn't dare touch them with these incompetent hands. :lmao: My "Bills" are not as comfortable as Toms, but they'll do since I'll probably only really wear this pair at Disney.

Yeah, I think it's definitely a good idea to get non-Toms canvas shoes especially for your first project. Just FYI, Target has these types of shoes on clearance. I got a pink pair for $7. They didn't have very many colors but you can just grab one and practice on that, maybe. :)

I could easily see using pink for rapunzel! There are so many characters, you can't go wrong!
