Can I book Discovery Cove direct.

I have checked out Discovery Cove with a couple of the ticket agencies quoted in Brits Guide, one (allegedly the UK's biggest ticket seller) only offers a swim with either Seaworld or Busch gardens which I find strange because on the main site you get to pick one of three, the third being our preferred choice Aquatica. The other offers all three options but they have sold out on our preferred days.

So can I book direct, is there any reason why not, its seems as though you just print off an electronic ticket. They are still showing availability for our preferred days. It does not seem to be any cheaper booking via a uk ticket agency. Prices are between approx £161 - £180 depending on which day you book.

Grateful for some input from the experts.

When we booked with them a few years ago we booked direct.

Never really found any of the other sites to be much cheaper. I just like the security of booking direct. I know that is not everyones choice plus given that there have been a few agencies that have gone bust I just would not feel comfortable going elsewhere.

They sent us a letter that we just took with us if we wanted to go to seaworld before we went to discovery cove. Once you have been you use the photo card you get from them to enter your preffered park.

Thanks for that, I think that is what I will do, can't see the point of using a British ticket agency if you can book for the same price direct. Its four months before we go so plenty of time for them to get a letter over to us.

What date did you want to visit? Have you checked Travel Republic? They are showing as the cheapest for us for our trip in September.

We booked directly with them for our Nov trip. Just printed off the tickets and we're good to go! :thumbsup2

Remember that on the US site, tax is added to the price at checkout. Depending on your method of payment you may get card fees added too.

We used Travel Republic for DC tickets last August as they were the cheapest.

Travel Republic is only offering Seaworld or Busch Gardens, there is a third choice of Aquatica which is what we wanted. This is the second ticket agency I have come across that is not offering the Aquatica option.

Travel Republic offer different options
Choice Package includes SW or Busch
Ultimate Package includes Aquatica, Busch & SW.

What Travel Republic quote as the Choice Package is

Discovery Cove Swim Day Resort Package which comes with unlimited access for 14 days to a choice of either Aquatica, Seaworld or Busch Gardens.

The Ultimate Package comes with 14 days unlimited access to all three parks but costs an extra £30 per person ($50)

What I want to know is why Travel Republic are not offering the complete option of the Discover Cove Swim Day Resort Package and including Aquatica in the option.

#with tax its working out at approx £168 pp, however, it does not offer a time slot and I am slightly concerned about whether we all get to go in at the same time. I think I will call them to find out.

I see what you are saying, I missed that, if they are cheaper for your dates check with them because as far as I know it is available as an option, just not listed, DC & TR are supposed to sell the same 2 options/products.

No-one gets a time slot until arrival. It works by allocation on arrival. 1st there gets 1st swim slot, last there gets last swim slot.

We went to Discovery Cove (again!) last year to let DS' GF visit for the first time and booked before we went. DS and DF swam while DH and I enjoyed the lazy day. DD at that point was working for Disney and didn't know whether or not she would be off to join us. Turned out she was, and with no availability showing online, we decided to just turn up with her and see if she could get in. She paid the same in dollars as we had paid in pounds at home so if we were to go again, I'd be tempted to see what we could negotiate at the door. :thumbsup2

The Ultimate Package that Travel Republic sell is the same as DC. It includes 14 unlimited pass to BG, SW & Aquatica.

From the website...

You'll also receive a pass to Aquatica®, Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay and SeaWorld® Orlando, which is valid for 14 consecutive days admission before or after (or during!)your visit to Discovery Cove.

Yes I realise this but I am not interested in unlimited access to Seaworld and Busch Gardens. I want Discovery Cove swim package with a choice of either Seaworld, bush gardens or aquatica for 14 days. The problem is that Travel Republic only offer a choice of Seaworld or Busch Gardens. Where is the Aquatica option which is our preferred choice.

Discovery Cove & ticket agents selling DC tickets only have 4 types (excluding Trainer for the Day) ...

Ultimate Adventure Package (Swim/Non-Swim) - This package includes 1 all inclusive day at DC and 14 consecutive days at BG, SW and Aquatica.

Choice of Adventure Package (Swim/Non-Swim) - This package includes 1 all inclusive day at DC and 14 consecutive days at BG or SW or Aquatica.

So if you buy a Choice of Adventure Swim Package from Travel Republic, the ticket is exactly the same as the ticket you can buy from DC directly.

The reason that some sites don't mention Aquatica in the Choice of Adventure is this is a relatively new option added to the ticket type and some sites have not updated this on the website.

If you want to buy this ticket through Travel Republic you will need to ring and book over the phone. Phone number is 0208 974 7200.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

Thanks Simon, I think you are right I should ring. Here is hoping they have the day left that we want.

Just to let you know I have just rung Travel Republic and they said they DO NOT do the option with Aquatica. I will have to try some other ticket agencies. Any recommendations. There was one that was mentioned in the Brit guide, I forget which but that showed no availability on our preferred day. So I guess they had sold their allocation.

So far I have checked several UK ticket agencies and the only one I have found offering the Aquatica option is Florida Escapes. Has anyone used them, it says they are ABTA regulated.

That suprises me with TR, I expected them to sell with Aquatica.

Florida Escapes is a trading name of Travelbuzz and is a trading division of Hays Travel Limited
Not heard of Either Florida Escapes or Travelbuzz but Hays travel is very well known, been trading about 30 years.
