Can I book a villa and checkin the next morning?

If we are arriving early in the morning, can I book a villa for the night before? I want to make sure our villa is ready when we arrive. My concern is if we don't check in the first night, they will cancel my reservation.

Choose a very early morning time on the online checkin and closer in call to let them know that your travel was delayed and that you'll be there. You can't call the resorts directly but call Disney or Dvc or both.

Just tell them the truth, that you want the unit ready 1st thing and you're willing to "pay" for a extra night before arrival to insure that you have a room ready when you arrive.

Except that I've literally ONCE gotten the room text thing, and every other time I've had to actually check in. OH wait, and that time? I hadn't gotten a room text, we got to Bay Lake, and went ahead and checked in at the desk anyway. THEN got the room text about 30 minutes later.

Doing online checkin does not absolutely guarantee them thinking you're there...

I guess we have had better success at getting room text then you have - but this is also why I started my post off by agreeing with the suggestion to let DVC and possibly the hotel know what you are doing.

Just have MS note the reservation that you are checking in a day early for early arrival the following day. You may still need to stop by the front desk but the room should be clean and ready.

Yes you can pay for an extra day and check in the next day. I would do online check in and then also call Member Services or whoever handles DVC rentals and let them know you are actually not checking in until the next morning. That will make sure the reservation is not released at the 6am mark.

I'm two for two in getting in before 11am by telling them my flight arrives at 9am...
