I have 5 Day Base Tix with Park Hopper options and I am wondering if we can add an additional 5 days with the no expire option for a future trip as it would be much less expensive that new 5 day passes. popcorn::

I believe you can add days up to 14 days after you first used your ticket. I think you can do the no expiration option anytime but the cost will be based off of the original days you had on the ticket, not after you used it.

Yes you can add the hopper option option option and/or the no expire option anytime within 14 days of first use AND before the original number of days are gone (i.e. it must still be a valid ticket).

I'm pretty sure you need to add it on at WDW. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Basic Rules for upgrading tickets.

1. Any upgrade must be done at WDW at a location with access to the Automated Ticketing System (ATS). Basically this is any park (including water park) ticket window or Guest Services location, or one of the Downton Disney Guest Services locations. The Lobby Concierge staff at the Resorts do not have all the accesses we have at the Parks. It cannot be done at a Disney Store.

2. If the ticket is pre-Magic Your Way (MYW) you cannot do anything with the ticket but use the remaining entitlements. You can go to any ticket or Guest Relations and they will be able to tell you what entitlements remain. If the ticket has become demagnetized we can reissue the ticket and the entitlements will remain the same as the old ticket.

3. Any MYW ticket (other than Florida Resident Play Three or any type of Annual Pass, discussed later) can be upgraded within 14 days of first use. There are no exceptions. This applies even if the ticket has the No Expire Option.

3A. A Florida Resident Play Three ticket, which has a six-month validity, may be upgraded within six months of first use.

4. If you purchased your MYW ticket at a price less than the current gate selling price for that ticket (such as from a discounter/broker or Advance Purchase) and you wish to do any upgrade, Disney will not penalize you for the discount. We will make an "intermediate" ticket at the current gate price, charging the difference between your old ticket and the intermediate one to an internal voucher account. Then we will take the intermediate ticket, which is at the current gate price, and upgrade it with the additional days and/or options you want, and you will only be charged for the differences in the current gate price plus tax. Note if you had paid full current gate price for your old ticket the intermediate step is not done.

5. The No Expire option is price is based on the total number of entitlements the ticket has had. If you had an original three day ticket, added five days and then used four days you will have four days of use remaining. If you upgrade to NE you will pay the rate for eight days.

5A. Similarly, if you had a three day NE ticket and upgraded it to five days, you would pay not only the fee for the extra two days entries but the difference between the three-day and five-day NE option.

6. If you upgrade to an Annual Pass of any type from a MYW ticket the expiration date of the AP will be one year from the date of first use of the ticket you are upgrading from, not one year from date of the AP.

6A. If the ticket you are upgrading from has the Water Parks Fun and More option, and you have used one or more of those options, you may only upgrade to a Premium Annual Pass.

7. If your ticket is unused, either MYW or Pre-MYW, and you wish to upgrade the ticket you will be given credit for Disney's actual selling price of that ticket. If it was sold to you by a discounter/broker it will be the amount that Disney charged the vendor, not what the vendor charged you. Unlike a partially used ticket, Disney will not "eat" the difference and you will have to pay the difference between what Disney originally sold the ticket for and the current gate price of the new ticket.

A. You DO have to do it AT WDW (If it is "legal" to do so... see "B").

B. CONFLICTING INFO ON THIS:

Some say you CAN'T add days to a Non-Expiring ticket after 14 days from first use.

Some say you CAN add days to a Non-Expiring ticket anytime before its final day is used.

I'd like to know the CORRECT, DEFINITIVE answer to this.

Well I will be down there and have no problem adding them before my 14 days are up from first use. I'll probably do it first thing, am I allowed to do it at guest relations at hotels (ex- Ft. Wilderness)?

I am torn between a florida resident seasonal pass and a three day play pass. If I get the three day florida resident, could I upgrade it to a seasonal pass if I come back within the six months (understanding that the year would start when I first used it - which will be this sat or sunday - yippeeee !!!)

7 Day NE is $210 + $90 = $300
10 Day NE is $216 + $155 = $371.

It will cost $71 plus tax to upgrade.

And if you have used it at all it can no longer be upgraded.

Three-day Play Three Adult is $120. With Hopper is $142.50. Seasonal is $223. Annual is $339 and includes free parking. (All plus 6.5% sales tax). And yes, you can upgrade the P3 to Seasonal or AP within six months and the expiration will be one year from the date the P3 was first used.
