We have about 6-7 days left on what was a 10 day non-expiring park hopper. It is assigned to my husband right now. We need 1-2 more days to cover our upcoming trip. Can I add days to this type of ticket? Now or only at WDW? Rough idea of cost per added day?

No. Tickets must be upgraded working 14 days of first use.

It sounds like you need 8 days. That's a terrible use of f a no-expiration ticket since each day is potentially worth over $100. You're much better off buying a normal ticket for this trip and using the NE ticket for multiple later, shorter trips.

Nope.

1. You can't upgrade a Non-Expiring ticket, as those type of tickets don't exist anymore.
2. You can't upgrade a 10-day ticket. 10 days is the maximum number of days allowed.
3. You can't upgrade a ticket if it was first used over 14 days in the past.

But, other than that, you're in good shape. ;)

No problem. I think we'll buy an AP and have them prioritize that ticket and save this one for another time. No, I'd never pay $100 for a day. We'll either do the AP or go into parks one less day.

Thanks!

Tag on Q. If I buy the AP now and link it to him, will FP update to allow me to book all 9 days of our stay rather than limit me to the 7 I have now?

If you are staying at a WDW Resort, then yes, and up to 60 days in advance.

If you are NOT staying at a WDW Resort, you can book up to 14 days of FP+ (based on your current older ticket -and- the new AP,) but only up to 30 days in advance.

We are staying on site and are already in our 60 day window. It's only letting me book 7 or our 9 days for him so far. So, once I add the AP, this will change and let me book him for the other days? Wondering how it works if I add it midstream when he already has another ticket attached to him

1. Yes.

2. Both tickets will allow booking of FP+.
You don't have to USE both tickets when you get to WDW.

Regardless, if you are staying on-site, just buying a new AP will
automatically allow you to book FP+ for the entire length of your on-site stay, including check-out day.

Once the AP is bought and linked to your MDE account, you are good to go for making FP+ reservations.
The AP will not become ACTIVATED until you activate it at a Guest Relations or ticket booth
in-person at WDW.

Make sure to have the AP prioritized for your husband when you get to Disney. You don't want his non-expiring ticket used for park admission instead of his AP :)

You can prioritize the AP at the same time you activate it!
