Trying to figure out the best way for early morning fishing, when not staying on the Fort area. We will be staying at the Poly. This is my DD's husband and I know he loves to fish so I'm thinking of sending him over to Fort Wilderness in the morning. It looks like the boats start running around 6:45 7:AM if I send him by Monorail to the Contemporary then the blue boat. I just sounds easer to let him take the car over, park in the guest area and then walk. Here's my question is there a walkway from the guest parking area? and can he park aound 6AM? We have never stayed at the Fort before, after he enjoys the fishing we may stay next year. Any input would be wonderful
Thanks Tina:worship:

Yes, you can park and fish at The Fort, make sure to have your KTTW card. Also you can fish the lake around The Poly, just as long as you're not where people are nearby. I have caught some nice fish as far to the right as you can walk when you come out of The Poly back door. Bring some hooks/lures that will get through weeds.

I do know you don't need a license to fish on property. But it is catch and release.
