Can down payments be made with a credit card to Purchase DVC Poly

I am possible adding on to Poly or buying a resale AKL soon. Can I use a Disney Credit Card or another type of Credit card for Down payment or entire payment? I would do this to get award points.

Yes, we used our Disney Visa card. You also get 6 months no interest on the Disney Visa when purchasing from DVC.

We used Disney Visa for 2 down payments at BLT and a small purchase at VGF. Used the 6 months interest free all 3 times plus got the rewards.

Unfortunately, while you can use your card for a down payment for a resale contract (we've done this too) you cannot get the 6 months interest free perk.

From the Chase site it looks like you finance the whole purchase at a 15% interest rate after 6 months. This would only be good if your paying off the entire loan in 6 months.

You will need to check with the resale company (or seller) to see if they can/will accept a credit card for the purchase. Purchases direct through Disney do accept credit card payment, but not all resale purchases will do so.

Our last contract was thru Fidelity in 2011,and yes we were able to pay it with our credit card.

On our resale through Fidelity a few years ago they had around a $2,000 max on CC. We had to pay the rest via certified check.

All of our direct puchases were paid entirely with CC.
