Can Disney fix the Hollywood Studio issue with Epcot FP combination?

We, the consumers want to maximize our $$ (value) against our experience.
Disney wants to increase their revenue, or at the VERY least incur no new cost and "maintain" revenue.

Can the issue they have with HS attractions (or the lack of) fixed by allowing the FP to span HS and Epcot? Hear me out:
1> This would be a better experience for us, the consumers. We could now have 1 FP in HS and 2 in Epcot as an example.
2> Revenue neutral for Disney, and if you take the intangible value then a gain attained through their PR.
3> System changes for IT and their kiosks should be "non major" (did not want to use the word minor, since I am also in IT) :)
4> Park Hopper revenue should not suffer, cause those who use the option normally use it for all parks and not confined to HS and Epcot. In other words, Disney should not see a decline in that stream of revenue.
5> Since Disney already has data in FP, they could, in theory, use it to balance the crowds in the parks.

This is what happens when you have a Monster after work. Crazy thoughts just come flying out......

Agree with @Robo (no surprise there), what issue are you referring to?

I get what your saying, but I do not see that fixing the issue. With both parks you have a tiered Fast Pass system so you would then still be using two Fast Pass choices for things that honestly, most times you don't need it. I think most people that find HS lacking with entertainment, I am one, find other things to do, hop over to Epcot, MK or I use this day as my night to head to Disney Springs.

With the tier policies on the main attractions in both these parks - and the fact I think you'd still be limited to one tier one - I think this idea is not helpful. I think what BOTH parks need is elimination of the tiered FPs.

I'm also not sure what problem you see in the first place?

I am not sure there is a real issue that a FP combo would fix. I think what you really are asking is if a DHS pass could be used in combination with another park. I think that there is still plenty to do in DHS although others may disagree. I do not think that it is necessary for DIsney to combine FP with Epcot, a tiered FP park, and feel it woudl only create more problems in FP choices.

I wouldn't want to, I think HS has much better attractions in my opinion. RNR and TOT are much better thrill rides than Test Track, TSMM is a better family ride than Frozen, I even prefer Star Tours to Soarin tbh as far as simulators go.

Where you see a HS problem, I see an EPCOT problem. I'd like to see the ability to hop without a fee between these two parks. Half a day or so in HS followed by a few hours in the WS would be a great day.

hmmmmm.... Maybe I am the only one who sees an issue. Reading several threads I assumed there were others that felt the same way. To better explain my statement, DHS has 4-5 main attractions left, which, with some planning can be achieved with a single FP, and till finish the park in half a day. For me, DHS is a waste of a FP day, since you are limited to a single park. Till they reopen the rest of the rides, in my mind this will remain an issue.
I was trying to explore an alt means for optimizing value in "my" mind. Since all the posts seem to contradict that position, maybe I am in a minority here.

DHS is definitely not a full day park at the moment, but for me (and maybe for disney?) that's not a problem, per se. I actually like putting extra ADRs on that day since we have the time. It's great to combo as a swim day, too. Stuff like that. And I gotta wonder if disney has seen an uptick in park hopper purchases with a lot of DHS out of commission.... I have never before considered park hoppers, but AK and DHS are both half day parks for us right now, so I've been considering what it would look like to park hop on those days...

I am not going to argue that soem attractions in DHS have been removed, and reduce the value for some folks, but there really is a lot to do that is left. The shows add quite a bit of time, and if you have a character junkie like we had, you can spend a lot of time visiting them as well. I think that value is personal. WHen DAK was under construction I avoided that park. The walls made me claustrophobic, I would not have found much value there.

When park hopping, you can pre-book 1 FP for DHS and as soon as you enter that FP line, you can book 2 for Epcot - a Tier 1 and a Tier 2 even if your DHS FP was a Tier 1.

See the FP FAQ ADDENDUM at the top of this forum.

I knew you'd come on with this perfect answer since you explained it to me when FP+ had a few changes implemented. :)

I was just looking over things to get ready to book my FP+ and realized that we will be out of DHS by lunch. I've got 2 young kids. My 9 year old only likes roller coasters that don't go upside down. My other is 4. I think our day will be Star Wars stuff and TSMM.

We spent an entire day in DHS in November (8AM -10 PM with 2 evening EMH's), and did not even repeat any attractions. The JTA took up two hours; one to sign up, and another for the show. If you include all of the other shows at DHS like VOTLL, BATB, POTJ, FSA, DJR, and Fantasmic there is plenty to do. We could not even fit in TOT or the BATB show, we came back another day for them.

We are doing park hoppers for the first time our next trip...for this very reason.
