Can direct and resale contracts be combined under one membership number?

Pretty much as stated in the title — I currently have a direct contract for 100 points and am about to buy a 150 resale contract. Will I be able to use the same membership number for both? All title details will be the same.

My understanding is that if they share a membership number then when I’m making bookings I can just treat them as a single “bucket” of points. Like in my case will I be able to make bookings that need 250 points?

If the direct and resale contracts are the same UY and titled the same, they will be available under the same membership. If they're the same resort, you can use them all at the 11 month mark. If they are different resorts (but still same UY and titled the same), then you can combine them at the 7 month mark.

yes but they have to be the same use year. it will have the same membership # but a different contract number but each resort retains its own priority. if it is at 2 different dvc properties you can pool them at the 7 month mark. if it is at the same dvc property you can pool them and do 1 reservation at 11 month mark at your home resort. sorry if this is unclear it might have sounded better in my head

you can do it online, it will ask you what contract you want the points pulled out of

The resale points will just have the restriction of not being able to be used at Riviera or newer. Otherwise they will be able to be used together.

If you are using a company to buy that contract, make sure you tell them your member number. They won’t necessarily ask you.

To add, I write it on all the documents where I sign as well, even if it doesn’t ask for it. I simply write, current membership number.

Just make sure both contracts are checked. It will take any banked points from both contracts first, and then will use current UY points from whichever contract is checked first. Not that is really matters, but just so you know.

As already mentioned, if you go to book RIV, the resale contract won’t even show as an option to use, since those have the restriction.

I also want to add that since the direct contract is the one that qualified you for blue card benefits, if you ever sell that one, the membership will no longer be qualified.

Everyone else already answered here, but yes you can do it online. All eligible contracts in a membership show and you just select the ones you want to use.
