i read disboards a lot. very rarely post and up until a few minutes ago never even realized that this forum existed.... i guess i never scrolled down. and the funny thing is, i was trying to figure out which forum would be right for my question.... and then i was wondering how my question would be perceived.

i am a single queer mom to a wonderful 3 year old. we go to wdw often. i like to wear my rainbow mickey pin and watch as queer folks (mostly CMs) do double takes. i think it is the kid that throws them off. but i do notice that CMs get a little more chatty when they do realize it.

so...here was my questions... can cast members fratenize (sp?) with guests? i was at mk this afternoon and had a short interaction with a very cute and obviously queer woman. i think i am in love... ... no, just kidding about the love thing. but on long ride home to south florida, i started to wonder how far i could have taken the conversation. we go every 2-4 weeks and i know that i tend to recognize cast members at certain rides or servers in restaurants after a while so i wonder if now i will notice her....

I'm not a CM so I don't know. I just wanted to wish you good luck!

I would think that you could open up that sort of conversation and see where it goes? I mean, meeting for a bite to eat or drink after the CM is off work (and out of uniform? ) couldn't be a problem, could it?

We'll wait for a real CM to come along and answer the question, eh? :teeth:

Cast Members are free to do whatever they want on their own time, within reason. I dont think we are exactly welcome to spend the night in the resorts, but I'm sure it happens.

Good luck re-meeting your friend!

thanks! i guess it never occured to me to cruise under the shadow of the castle while pushing my daughter in her stroller. :rolleyes1 now, how am i going to do it when my parents tag along with us in a couple weeks....
