I am a vegetarian. I don't eat eggs, poultry, fish, red meat.
I always wanted to try the cobb salad at the Brown Derby at MGM. I was wondering if anyone has had the cobb salad made without meat and eggs?
If so, is there anything else the chef puts on the salad in the place of those items?
Just wondering if it is worth it.

Thanks.

When you make your reservations, be sure to tell them you're a lacto vegetarian(I take it you are because you didn't add milk products to the list).. they will accomadate youl. Also, you can call Disney Dining and ask them for the phone number and speak to the chef before you get there and you'd be surprised what they can do for you.... So, is it worth it.... It certainly can be.

It comes all divided if I remember correctly...so maybe they can leave out the meat and eggs.. but then it would be a chopped salad with just veggies.

Do they not offer a different salad that is all veggie? Seems kinda like a waste to pay for all the extras(meat, eggs, etc.) . :)

I have not dined at Hollywood Brown Derby but I know that disney is very accomidating to vegetarians. I also know they have tofu on their menu so maybe they can add it to the salad? Let me know how it goes because I am also a vegetarian :)

Yes, you can get it without whatever toppings you don't like. I am lacto-ovo and I requested no meat and extra avocado. They were more than willing to accomodate. Also, the tofu entree is wonderful, one of the best vegetarian entrees I have found in WDW. I have a link to vegetarian Disney dining reviews (including Brown Derby) in my signature if you're interested. :thumbsup2

I have a peanut allergy, but I really love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Does anyone know if I can get one without the peanut butter?

To answer your peanut-butter-sandwich-without-the-peanut-butter question; actually there are such things as cashew butter, sunflower seed butter and pistacio butter. So yes, if WDW has those you can get a peanut butter sandwich minus the peanut butter.
