Can AP Holders Use Old Fastpasses Too?

We have WDW annual passes and are going on a Disney trip April 1-5 (!) and after reading about the new Fastpass+ system, I was wondering if AP holders can use their annual pass card to access the old Fastpass distribution machines. We will have MagicBands, so we will have access to the Fastpass+ system, but I don't like the idea of the tiered Fastpass+ system for Epcot and HS, and I thought that maybe we could "cheat the system" using our plastic AP cards. (Assuming that the Legacy Fastpass machines are still there for guests who aren't staying at a WDW resort and just have paper tickets?) Has anyone tried using their AP for an old Fastpass? There are no old FP machines open anymore. No more paper.
