We are getting 14 day park hopper tickets for our trip in May.

Last time we had them too but were only there for 8 days so it wasn't really an issue.

This time we are planning on using all 14 days as we are there for 15 nights.

My question is we are arriving at about 7pm at night and i was thinking of going and collecting our tickets that evening since its a Saturday i figure the park will be open later.

If i collect the tickets from the ticket booth but do not enter the park will this day count as day 1? We wanted to pick up the tickets so that we did not have to do it in the morning but we want the 14 full days so don't want to waste it and will collect in the morning if this will count.

I hoped it only started once you scanned it at the entry of the park when you entered but was not sure.

I have never had a 14 day ticket but with the other tickets a day is not used it you do not enter the park. So when we had 3 day hoppers, we used 2 days, took a day off to just play outside the parks and then used the last day of our tickets. So if your tickets work like the regular tickets you will still have the 14 days if you pick up on Saturday and do not enter the park.

Thanks for the help.

We will visit Disneyland or DCA everyday but probably wont spend all day every day there. Its just so my 3 year old (who is mickey obsessed) can go see him every day. Plus for Aussies there is very little price difference (i think $15 each) between a 5 day and a 14 day pass.

Do people really spend 14 consecutive days at DL?
Probably not, but when we visit, as Australians (and this applies for Kiwi's too) we're in the area often for 2 or so weeks, using Anaheim as the base for trips up to LA, San Diego, shopping, etc. Upon returning some evenings you could pop over to the park for an hour if you wanted. But more often than not, most people I know from Australia have visited - even for if only an hour on some days - 8+ days in DL.

We were there for two weeks and got 14 day passes (from Expedia) and I got an annual pass (for two weeks of dining, shopping and tours discounts and entering the parks it was well worth it).

Anyway we got exchanged the voucher for the ticket at the hotel when we checked in. I think the 14 days will start from when you first use the ticket. But I have just remembered we used it the day we arrived briefly to go in and get my AP

We didn't go to the park every day, used DL as the base, then did day tours to San Diego Zoo, Legoland, LA, day at South Coast Plaza.

When we went and used our passes on our last day they had expired (which I didn't realise) but just typed something on the screen and let us use them because we hadn't used all 14 days on the ticket and counted that as the last day.

The tickets won't count until you start using them. We've always picked up our tickets the night before (although I've never used a 14 day pass) and never had them "validated" with a start date until I scanned them the next morning.

My family has, and it was great. Believe it or not, I still haven't seen/done everything.

Anyway OP I'm pretty sure your tickets won't be used until you get them scanned.

I wish we could get the 14 day ticket. We can only get the 6 day hopper. We would probably have popped in everyday of our 11 nights stay in August.

On a side note we do get the 14 nights for the price of 7 for WDW here in the UK.

Does anyone know if the 14 day passes come with a magic morning entry?

Actually, from memory, the 14 day pass last year was only $5 more than the 5 day pass per person.

I thought it was great. We went in some days just for dinner and some days just to pop into a shop or two. Was great having the freedom to basically come and go as we pleased for almost our entire stay :thumbsup2
