Hi

Has anyone visited Disney Quest and just wondered how you rated it out of 10 and which were the best games/attractions. As someone in our party looooooooooooooves games lol :love2:

Many Thanks

The best thing about Disney Quest is THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, well, actually, I suffer from motion sickness  , and Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride nearly killed me. There I was, carpet and all, on the floor of the Cave of Wonders :faint: ...dizzy, confused, and about to toss my cookies :crazy2:.

Everyone was flying past me :moped: and there I was :upsidedow: on my magic carpet...scared :scared: and confused :confused3 and I couldn't get my virtual reality :3dglasses goggles off. It was BAD.

I fell off the machine, closed my eyes :earseek: and tugged as hard as I could. When I finally freed myself :rolleyes1 I thought the room seemed awfully crowded :crowded: with all those people staring at me. :guilty:

After that, I decided that I would just sit quietly in the Cheesecake Factory and wait for my family to have a good time.....

Oh that is just TOO FUNNY!!!! But I SOOO know how you felt!!! I just know better than to even look twice at flying carpets or Jungle Cruise river rafts!!! Now, a very nice CM did convince me to do POC with no glasses and a stablized ship. I had a great time and no motion sickness.

When we went a couple years ago, DS convinced me to ride the roller coaster that he designed. I made him PROMISE to not make it go upside down and I survived. This past time, DH told DS that HE would ride his coaster. I asked him if he was going to let DS design one to go upside down and DH said "sure, why not?!" :rolleyes1 He found out 'why not' when he had to spend the next several hours sitting outside!!! :rotfl2:

In any case, my kids LOVE DQ and I agree with Rafiki that there are some really comfy chairs and some really yummy food to keep you occupied while the "gamers" play!!!

My boys had such a great time here, that every night we had to hear "Can we go to Disney Quest again tonight?" We spent 2 evenings here and had to drag my two boys out of there (7 yrs & 5 yrs)

The one thing I didn't like was that NO strollers are allowed in the building, so taking my 9 month old in there was a nightmare. I went and put him in a highchair up at the cheesecake factory and ate and played on the computers they have there.

My 5 yr old favorite was: Mighty Ducks pinball game (you are the pinball) he kept winning so we couldn't get him to play much else after that :)

As for that Aladdin Ride.....that was a little too much for me to play also. It took me forever to figure out how to get my carpet to move where I needed it to, then I ended up getting eaten by something and I couldn't get out.

I also love doing the animation of the characters. They take you step by step on how to draw one of the characters.

If you have kids that love video games, then Disney Quest is the place for them.

We went one evening -- DH, me, DD6, and DS3. We had a good time, and I think they'll enjoy it even more as they get older. That said, at this age, I wouldn't pay extra for it. We had UPH, so it was included on our ticket.

My kids enjoyed where you can take your picture and then do funky things to it, like stretch your face, add accessories, etc... They also loved the area where they have many Chuck E. Cheese type games, but some are Disney themed. There's a Toy Story version of "Whack a Mole" and a Disney character bike race. Plus, there's good ol' fashioned Skeeball, Pac Man, Donkey Kong, etc...

We didn't try the more intense ride, like creating your own coaster. We did the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. We enjoyed it, but I have to admit, I got lost! Funny thing, DH & I went to WDW in 1995 & at Epcot's Imagineering Labs, they were demo-ing the Aladdin virtual reality ride. My DH was chosen to be one of the demonstrators. I have a picture of him wearing that goofy helmet. It's cool to see it come to fruition.

Back to DQ, we all loved the Jungle Cruise raft ride and, especially, the Pirates of the Carribean! They were really fun!

Hope this helps!
Christy
