Or should I just take it to the cleaners. It's my new coat and I love it. I'm willing to give it a try if anyone has any good ideas that you have tried.
Thanks

Grease and yellow? I would bring it in the morning to the cleaners, Lynn. Good luck. (Pictures!!!!! :))

If the coat is washable, put some baby shampoo on the area and kind of rub it in. Let it sit for 2 or 3 minutes and then wash the coat as usual. You may have to do this a few times, but usually the graese will come out.

Be careful not to let it sit too long with the baby shampoo on it, because some fabrics can get discolored.

instead of baby shampoo use a shampoo made for oily har (such as Suave Daily clarifying) Add a cup of amonia to the washer with your detergent and use the hottest water possible for the coat. If it says to wash in cold, then use warm. Do not machine dry unless you are certain the greese is out.

My hubby works in a black grease laden environment and yep, I use Dawn dish soap on his clothing.

I keep a bottle of Dawn next to my laundry soap. I pre-treat the stains AND I add the Dawn into the washer water as well.

I would ONLY do this though, if your jacket were tagged as washable.
Otherwise the dry cleaner is your best and safest bet.
