I want to watch "Lost" this season, because I've heard great reviews. I missed the previous seasons. Can anyone summarize it up in a few sentences or a paragaraph to get me caught up for this season?

TIA! :)

Go rent Seasons 1 & 2. I don't see how else you could get caught up, there is so much to it.

I would totally recommend that you rent the previous seasons on DVD. There are just so many little things that pop up later as big things that a synopsis would miss.

DH and I decided to start watching Lost after season 1 ended, so we watched the DVDs and caught up in time for season 2.

Watch the first 2 seasons on dvd! It's better that way--you can watch them one right after another. I have yet to watch any of them on regular tv but wait for them to come out on dvd. DH and I are having a blast right now with Season 2--we watch 2 episodes each evening.

The great thing about getting to watch it on DVD is that you don't have to go through commercials or even fast-forward through them. :thumbsup2

Great point! Maybe if we watch 2 episodes a night...

The characters are what make this show most intriguing. There is the doctor, the fugitive, the mysterious Korean couple, the Skipper, MaryAnn....

..no wait...

Heck, I've watched every episode from number one, and I still wish someone could sum the show up for me!

:rotfl2: Make that every episode in your possession or until you pass out from exhaustion.

Seriously though, there's no way we could summarize it for you. It's way too complicated. Plus it's hard to explain things that you yourself are confused about it. It's a great show. Rent the DVDs and enjoy! :thumbsup2

Plane crashes. Passengers' flashes. Some characters in death throe thrashes. 43 or so days gashes. Computer keyboard some islander mashes. Locke and others clashes. The hatch in the jungle blows up in ashes. Season 3 starts with series regulars tied up in lashes.

Thanks, everyone!

Does anyone know how many episodes are in a season?

(Like if I rented Season 1, for EX, how many episodes are in it?)

Not sure the exact number but there should be 22 to 24 episodes for each season.

definitely rent them (or borrow them from someone who might own them). the first season especially is amazing. hope you report back once you start watching it, and hope you enjoy the show as much as we have. :)

Watch the DVDs because you would regret reading about it instead of watching it. There's just way too much to see and way too much going on that a summary would be confusing. Tell us what you think after you've watched! Enjoy!! :goodvibes

Thank you so, so, so much! This is what I'm going to do- it's hard for us to find time to sit down and watch T.V. like I would have to do if I got the Season 1 DVD!
