Can anyone offer help with AOL IM stuff?

Our ISP is Comcast, but I allowed DD (10) to sign up for AOL IM. But now when I turn on the computer I get this AIM "homepage" type thing.... not a big deal, right??? But yesterday's advertisement, in big letters on the front was "Orgasm for Girls" (will that word even show up or be sensored here??). I believe it was advertising a brand of cosmetics??
And today they were showing a picture of Linday Lohan and a place to click on to find out her "Dirty Little Secrets".

Definitely not things I want my child seeing. But there has to be some way to keep this from popping up without totally eliminating AIM.

Any help out there?............P

Go into My AIM on the menu bar, then edit options, then edit preferences. Under sign in / sign off, deselect the Show AIM Today window at signup.

It won't pop up upon AIM startup anymore after you do that.
