Hey guys!

I really, really want to earn my 5lb. clippie by July 4th..but it ain't gonna happen if I don't get my exercise and stop grazing on the junk. I'm afraid to get on the scale tomorrow morn and have to report that 2 weeks into my "challenge" that I've gained weight.

So I just finished one set of 10 reps of my upper body workout and I thought I'd let you all know...Now on to the lower body stuff, squats, lunges, step ups, you know, so that I won't be able to walk or get out of my car without pain for 3 days...

Please cheer me on...you guys are so inspiring...I've done it before and can do it again. I've just got to remember how good it felt to fit comfortably into my clothes and feel strong!

Thanks for allowing me to vent...back to the workout!:D

You can do it!

For starters, since you exercised today....did you post your workout on the exercise thread? There is usually one for every day. I find this to be an inspiration - when you read about everyone working out you think, "if they can - I CAN!". Plus, if feels sooo gooood to post on that one!

I haven't earned my 5lb clippie yet, either. We'll earn it together! Keep reading the WISH board and keep posting.....you can do it!

Eat healthy, live happy, get that clippie, girlfriend!

All the best! Ann

Hi :wave2:

I'm trying to get my first clippie too! (Actually, if I make my July 4 challenge, I should earn my second as well .. but let's just start with baby steps. lol)

I totally agree with Hollyann - posting in the daily exercise thread is really motivating. I feel like I've really accomplished something when I get to add my workout in the thread. Of course, it probably helps that I'm easily amused, but still.. ;)

Another thing I've been finding really helpful motivation-wise is reading through people's journals. There are some pretty awesome folks on this board. Reading about how other people got through tough times is usually just the pick-me-up I need to keep believing "I can do it!"

And so can you!! Keep working out, eating right, reading WISH and having fun and you'll be clippie-d in no time (and hopefully, so will I). :)

Cheers!
Caroline

AuroraluvsPhillip - I am also South of Boston and we have had lousy weather. But good weather coming and you can do it.

Don't beat yourself for today - get ready, set, go - for tomorrow.

I am down 24 lbs from my start so if I can do it you certainly can.

GO FOR IT!!!

Here's some more encouragement for you!

You can do it. You've come to the right place for support and we'll help you reach your goal. The nice thing is that we are all the same boat - trying to take off the excess weight whether it's 20 pounds or 120 pounds. I agree that reading people's journals can be so encouraging.
