staying at the akl 11-26 thru 12-2. we have been to wdw several times and have done almost all the character meals but, looking for some places to eat with my ds 5 and dd 2. its hard to expect them to sit through long meals every day but would like to try some different places.

We've done POOH at crystal palace and chef Mickeys multiple times, and will do again. Our new characters that we're trying are Liberty Tree tavern, and the GArden Grill. Haven't done either, but they both look fun!

they are all good ones but i am looking for some different places maybe not character meals that are very kid friendly.

Have you tried Ohana's??? They have broom/coconut races and hoola hooping.

Also Sci Fi Dine In Theater has old movies and you sit in cars.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is also supposed to be fun, will know first hand in two weeks.

Biergarten has a polka band and a little dance floor, my niece enjoyed that when she was 7.

I would consider really almost any of the TS restaurants at WDW with kids of those ages. Character and "activity" meals get old for the adults and aren't as special for kids if there are too many of them.

All WDW restaurants are used to children. Servers are very adept at getting meals out quickly to families with young children. You might need to eliminate a course or two depending on the patience and experiences of your children but really the sky is almost the limit at WDW. I would just hold off on Victoria and Alberts.
