Can anyone help me with Characterpallooza?

Kenny the Pirate's site said that it was being moved, and was more of a random thing now, but I couldn't find any updates on it. We would love to try and see it this Sunday, but if it's a long shot or hard to find, I'd rather take a mid day break to swim/rest so the kids can make it to Fantasmic and fireworks. It's our only HS day.

Anyone seen it lately? Caught it once last November and it was fun!

I had the same question recently. I don't think anyone ever knows where it is going to be anymore. I'll be there on a weekend day next week (can't believe I'm saying it's NEXT WEEK already!), and I'm REALLY hoping it's by ToT at 6 pm. Someone said that that would be a good bet, even though it has been all over the park, so I'll be hanging around there. I planned our Fastpasses accordingly.

I can update you next week if it worked out!

what time should I look for it then, how did you figure out six ish? The only thing I read was 4 1/2 hours before Fantasmic, but would that mean four?
Six would be great, we could still take mid day break! Im looking at Sunday, hoping for some luck with it too!

I was doing some research on it last month. Seem like it is totally random now. Even if you figure out the time, you can't figure the location. Anywhere from ToT, Ave of America to the front entry. Hope I have the luck.

I have been several times in the past few weeks. Every time I've been it's around 6:10 at the ToT exit. But if people hang around the gate (or worse, try to look over/under them) or there is threat of bad weather, it is cancelled. Hang out by the gift shop/the coffee cart where you can still watch the gates but aren't right in front of them.

When they do open the gates, they are only open for about 10-15 minutes (sometimes they only close one so you can't see the characters from the main path), so you have to be ready.

It really is a hit and miss thing, but every time I've gone is has happened.

Thank you from me too, I will report my luck after our trip! I understand it is unplanned magic, but it seems weird and mean to move it if people are loitering/waiting.
Why punish those who do a little research and are (obviously) die hard fans???? Especially if they are already in character and just hangin' around??

In my experience (3x in June), Characterpalooza happened at the TOT exit even though people were peeking under the gates. A couple of kids even lay on the ground to look underneath.

My only disappointment was the number of characters: 4, 2, and 3. But, 2 > 0, so I won't complain about something that isn't even guaranteed. I was just hopeful that it would be more like 6 or 7.

I agree. I was surprised. Not even paired characters as you mentioned.

1st time: Jasmine, Tiana and Pocahontas
2nd time: Tiana, Rafiki, Minnie, and Evil Queen
3rd time: Pluto and Evil Queen
