Can anyone help me with a Yacht Club question?

We will be staying at the Yacht Club for the 1st time from Nov. 7 - 11 in a water view room. YEAH! Here is the problem though. I know the Yacht & Beach Club resorts are completely booked that week/weekend due to the Soap Opera weekend at MGM and the end of the F & W Festival at Epcot. Our plane does not arrive until 11:00 p.m. on the 7th so it will be midnight or later (traveling on ME) before we can check in. So I'm wondering if there are any bad water view rooms that we could get stuck with as a result of our late check-in at a full hotel? If so, should I make any special requests now in order to try to avoid that from happening? Also I just read a thread here that said that not all of the YC rooms have a daybed. We are a family of 5 so are we guaranteed a room with a daybed (or rollaway), or do I need to make that a request?

last time we checked in at the yc that late, we got upgraded to concierge. i wouldnt worry about it. you will get a nice room with a nice view, and you will have a great vacation.

and I would think that you wouldn't need to request the daybed because that is the only way that 5 could be accommodated in a room.

Have a great vacation...we just got back ourselves from a week at BC and loved it. pixiedust:

OH yeah, watch out for all the soap stars. Two years ago when we were there for SSW (unintentionally, stayed at CR) a lady on the boat from MGM said taht most of the stars were at YC & BW. Enjoy and take plenty of photos!

I'd put the request for a daybed on my ressie if I were you. I've never personally had the problem when I had 5 in a room but I remember reading about someone who was in concierge before with 5 people and did not get a room with a daybed and had to have a roll away sent to the room and there really wasn't room for a roll away in the room. Better make the request.

There are some Water View rooms that face the quiet pool (believe it or not), so I would also request lake view or something like that. They will try to put aside a room for you to meet your requests.

You may actually want to also have them note that you will be arriving late. Can't hurt.

There is a difference between a water view and a Lagoon view. If you want the Lagoon then book a Lagoon view otherwise you will be viewing a quiet pool.

Well you can't book a lagoon view at YC/BC per se - you can certainly request it, though. :)

And the rollaway does make the room a bit cramped - we had one on our last YC stay for our family of 5. We had an amazing lagoon view though so it wasn't worth it to us to switch to a room with a daybed that might have a less desirable view.

Enjoy!
